The Youtube application on Nintendo 2DS and 3DS will no longer be available for download from September 09, 2019 at 12:00 pm.
In addition, the application will no longer work as of September 03, 2019.
This means that players will no longer be able to download it, nor will it work for those who already have it downloaded on their systems.
In recent months, many users who watched videos through their console experienced some tech issues as the application “froze” or closed suddenly. Now we finally know of the suspension of the Youtube service altogether on the portable console. The Youtube 3DS app has been experiencing problems for some time, such as suddenly shutting down completely.
The closure of the app is probably because the company won’t continue to invest in updates, either because it doesn’t seem viable or because the console can’t support improvements. Although it has not been updated for a long time and still uses the old YouTube logo.
Fortunately, users that own a New Nintendo 3DS and 2DS can enjoy the mobile version of Youtube through the browser.
