Sony is quick in delivering news lately. PlayStation is out of this E3, for the first time in their lifetime. Instead of their regular presser event, they have opted for State of Play. These transmissions are very similar to the Nintendo Direct formula. The last one of these events featured many PSVR games and some minor news. The next event has been announced by Sony through the PlayStation Blog. Sadly, they also confirmed there isn’t going to be any new information about the anticipated PS5. The live stream will take place on March 9th at 3:00 PM PT and 6:00 PM ET.
In the same announcement post, Sony was clear in setting expectations for this State of Play. The live stream is going to be a short event, with a duration of around 10 minutes. No information on PS5 is going to be presented. Instead, PlayStation is going to focus on a MediEvil extended look and probably a release date. They added that additional information for upcoming PS4 games will also be revealed. We can only hope for some release dates. There are so many Sony exclusives that haven’t yet gotten a release date. Providing information of at least one of these games will make the news block a lot more interesting than it was the last time around.
