Mortal Kombat. This is a game franchise that was developed in 1992 by Midway Games’ Chicago studio more than a quarter-century ago. With the franchise’s 11th iteration: – Mortal Kombat 11 – set to release on the 24th of April 2019, it’s unsurprising that the Gore factor has also been cranked up way past what was achieved in Mortal Kombat X, especially with the Fatalities. For those of you who suffer from any kind of bug or insect related phobia, please look away now.
Anyone Scared of Bugs?
I’m talking about just one Fatality in particular: – D’vorah. She made her gore splattered debut in Mortal Kombat X and she is nightmare fuel with her blade tipped limbs and the casual ease with which she yanks insects larvae from her own stomach, and uses swarms of regurgitated flying insects to chew holes into her opponent. Her “Bug Me” Fatality in Mortal Kombat X was pretty intense. Check it out below: –
Scared of Bugs now?
I’m not the squeamish sort, and most of the time bugs, I kill bugs. But the team behind Mortal Kombat 11 managed to hit an 11 on a ten scale with D’vorah’s Fatality. That’s saying something for a franchise known for gratuitous violence, gore, emasculating nut crusher shots, and near-epic levels of brutality in every new iteration of the franchise. Fatality at its Finest
For me, I think it’s the thought of being a still living incubator for one of D’vorah’s pretty damn demonic insectoid offspring. It is easily the most disturbingly disgusting arachnophobia inducing thing I’ve seen in a long time – and from someone that found the SAW franchise to be hilarious, that’s saying something. While I’m in love with what I’m seeing, I’ll be sleeping with a large can of insecticide on my bedside for the next couple of nights, just in case the relatives of any bugs I’ve killed are looking for payback….
