Dragon Quest Heroes director, Tomohiko Sho, talked about the possibility of Dragon Quest Heroe 3. Sho spoke about this possibility in a recent interview. Although, from starters, Sho addressed Square Enix’s ownership of the IP by stating: “Obviously this is a Square Enix property so we can’t really say anything, but I have kind of mentioned to them before, ‘Shouldn’t we consider a third entry?’” He then went on to express the quality jump from the first entry of Dragon Quest Heroes to the second one.
Tomohiko Sho about a possible Dragon Quest Heroes III
“So we’ve been talking a little about maybe putting out a third entry, but really the big thing is between I and II there were so many improvements made. If we were going to go from II to III, what else can we put in to really impress the players who played both games that will get them really excited and really emotionally moved by it? So there are a lot of hurdles. What would it be that we can put into the game? That’s still something we’re not sure how to do yet.”
The fact that the director of the game sees the possibility of a third entry of Dragon Ques Heroes is good enough reason for fans to be excited. Nevertheless, only time will tell if Square Enix greenlights the project at some point. Dragon Quest Heroes II is already available for PS4 on the PlayStation Store.
