The hand-drawn acclaimed side-scroller from Studio MDHR is definitely going places! Cuphead, the notoriously hard old-fashioned platformer is going to an entirely new platform. Today, through their official media blog, King Features and Netflix announced that Cuphead is coming to Netflix as an animated show. The show will be titled The Cuphead Show!
The Cuphead Show! will expand on the world of Cuphead
According to Netflix: “The new series will expand on the characters and world of Cuphead, with an animation style inspired by the classic Fleischer cartoons from the 1930s. “
The Netflix adaptation of Cuphead will focus on comedy. Also, the main theme of the series will be following ” the unique misadventures of the impulsive Cuphead and his cautious but easily swayed brother Mugman. Through their many misadventures across their surreal home of the Inkwell Isles, they’ve always got one another’s backs.”
Solid Netflix production team for Cuphead
Jared Moldenhauer will serve as Executive Producer for Studio MDHR. In addition, Netflix Animations which will produce the animated show. Also, Dave Wasson, famous for Mickey Mouse Shorts, an Emmy and Annie Award winner, will take the role as Executive Producer. Additionally, Cosmo Segurson, known for Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling, will serve as co-executive producer.’
